Your body shakes with anticipation, Goosebumps run all through your body as you try to catch your breath. The sweet words whispered into your ears make you wonder “Is this feeling even real?, How could my body get so weak?” Their eyes tell you to trust them, they tell you to fall into their arms and let go. You want to, you need to, but you can’t. Your heart is still mending, finding pieces everywhere, eager to put it all back together. You wonder “will I ever know what it is to feel whole again?” They tell you “YES”, they say all the right things to make you melt. You stay up late at night going over every conversation, analyzing their words and meaning behind it all.
The weakness is something your body and mind crave but your heart is too scared to let you be hurt again. You ask yourself which is easier to love or to be Loved?
To love, it takes all of your energy, your power and time. It lets you see yourself in a whole new light but a light that in an instant can go dark.
But to be Loved? It means you get to experience them giving it all to you, you sit there and watch them unravel. Taking every layer off of who they are, BUT you know better than to take advantage them. You know how it feels to be torn down so all you want to do is build them up. You take every layer with gentle hands. They give you hope, the hope you lost and the light that was once darkness.
But, the answer will always be inclusive. You can lay your head at night, in peace, knowing that you gave it your all, even if they didn’t.
You can appreciate when you felt loved. And no one can take the good, the powerful and mind blowing experience away from you.
No matter what your feeling right now. Know that the only person to love is YOURSELF. Fall in Love with yourself every day! Remind yourself of all the good in you and that you have purpose in this world!
YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE ENOUGH and YOU ARE WORTHY!🌹💋♥️

“One of the greatest regrets in life is being what others would want you to be, rather than being yourself. ~Shannon Alder
