Mentally Unraveled

“Happily ever after” they say. “I love you, like I’ve never loved before” they claim. They desire you from head to toe. Missing you as the hours roll by. Thoughts of you come across their minds as they go about their routine. They make your heart flutter and your body shiver. You dream of a future together. You want to be the one they come to when they have a bad day. You want to kiss them and tell them it’s all ok. You want them as much as they want you. Their words so persuasive, it illuminates your darkness. You see nothing but their smile when you feel down. But, is it all just a Fantasy?

You love so deep to only be given a love so shallow. You seek them to see how their day is going, to only be left on read. You tell them your having a rough day only to be left on seen. You ask yourself “What do they want from me?” “Do they not say they love me?” “What are they afraid of?” you wonder. You desire to be let into their world of mystery. To be the only one on their mind. To see a part of them they have closed off. You want them to be vulnerable, to be all they need. You want the plans you drew out together to come true. But, maybe they don’t want to love so hard. Maybe, you’re just not part of the plan anymore.

To love a person so deep and with such passion is the hardest thing you can do. You want the fire to never burn out, the love to never fade.

At the end of the day you will never know what goes on in their minds or in their hearts until they are ready to show you without fear. Let’s just hope when they are ready you are still there waiting.
