Gone

Standing at the edge of the bridge. Watching the lights as every car speeds by under their feet. Thinking if they jumped, that even for a second they would be flying free. Escaping all that is broken and hurting them.

Only if the handful of pills she chased down with whiskey will make all her problems disappear. Crying as she tells her teenage daughter life would be better off if she was GONE. Giving the burden to a child who feels like they have to keep their parent alive. The burden that she will always carry with her. Not because she is a bad parent but because a child loves a mother unconditionally.

There are endless untold stories from people who suffer internally and even some suffer alone. A smile can always hide a broken heart. An “I’m ok” can hide a soul seeking healing. An emotional fog has overpowered their life. No advice can help them get out of this, UNLESS they are ready.

But, what you can do is ask them how you can help them. How can you help them ground themselves when they are triggered. Offer to listen when they need to vent, hug them when they need reassurance. They aren’t broken they just have a wound that isn’t healed, YET. It is no ones job to dig them out of their agonizing hole. But if you know someone and you want to help them you can always HELP them dig, BUT you can NEVER do it for them.

Just because there are more bad days than good, RIGHT NOW, that doesn’t mean that ONE DAY there won’t be better days than bad. You are worth staying, you are worth living. Someone loves you, someone is willing to help you dig. Don’t give up!

YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE WORTHY, YOU ARE ENOUGH!💋♥️🌹
