Catatonic

The night falls and you get a glimpse of the moon, wishing upon the stars to take the pain away. Your body so numb, oh so catatonic. You can’t seem to catch your breath the pain is so real. The person who promised not to hurt you, did the most damage. “Look into my eyes and tell me why?” you scream. “Why did you come into my life knowing you weren’t ready?” you whisper. Head bowed down as your tears hit the cold floor, collapsing onto your knees. Your body gave up as much as your heart did. “You took what was left of me, you took so selfishly!” you mutter under your breath.

You loved someone with everything you had to get nothing in return.

And as they go on living, as if you were just another person passing through their life, you sit in sorrow. You let them take a hold of your heart, playing with it like a child with a new toy. Boredom hit them, so they toss you to the side. “On to the next,” they say.

Staring at your phone hoping to get a phone call or text but at this point you wouldn’t even know what to say anymore.

But, stop waiting for that person you fell in love with because that version of them no longer exists. Love like that has a price tag that they can’t afford, it is only worth remembering the good and moving on.

YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE ENOUGH, YOU ARE WORTHY!♥️💋🌹

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.” ~Steve Maraboli
