Drive

Drops of midst trickling down your window, the chilling wind across your face. With every breath inhaled you exhale a misty cloud. Your nose a soft red and chills running through out your body. Sitting there as your car warms up, your mind wanders. The tires finally hit the dark wet road. The stress of the week just washes away with every mile you leave behind. That one song you know you have to play, is just blaring through your speakers. Something about the night sky and a drive just makes the world disappear. You get lost in the vast abysses of time. Not knowing what tomorrow may bring but just to know that yesterday is gone but today, at this moment, it’s just the headlights shining in front of you. You are overwhelmed with calmness at every turn. With each car passing by, you feel as if you are floating on a cloud. A cloud filled with possibilities and hope. Your mind goes into deep thought, playing the days out like a movie. You tell yourself “maybe if I did something different, if I was less of who I am, life would be easier.”

Sometimes life gets so hard that even the night drives aren’t long enough.

That internal battle we fight every day isn’t easy but it is worth living another day and taking another drive. It may take some time and a lot of work but you are worthy of the healing process. You are worthy to live in this world and it is possible to love life again.

YOU ARE ENOUGH, YOU ARE WORTHY, YOU ARE LOVED!

“Driving is a spectacular form of amnesia. Everything is to be discovered, everything to be obliterated.”   ~Jean Baudrillard
